About the artwork
The blueprint depicts the reverse side of the "King of Watchmaking" model, revealing the distribution of a second time zone (GMT), day/night and AM/PM indicators, power reserve, date, day of the week, month, and moon phase across the case-back dial. A handwritten numbered list in the lower left corner of the sheet documents this very process of distribution, recording the working logic by which each complication finds its place within the overall composition.
Where the front of the watch assembled its anthropomorphic composition into a manifesto image, the reverse reveals the engineering foundation behind that concept: here, each feature of the movement's face, the eyes, the nose, the smile, finds its technical counterpart in a dedicated indicator. The sheer number of functions recorded on this sheet stands as material proof of the title claimed in the model's name, turning technical documentation into an extension of the artistic statement.
