The ‘Geometry of Academicism’ Universum brings together works where Chaykin turns to classical principles of composition and proportion, reinterpreting them through the logic of the watch movement. There are no mythological characters or literary narratives here. The artist depicts only pure forms, governed by calculation, symmetry and the ideal circle.

The paintings from this universe continue the academic tradition but translate it into the language of Horological Art. The compass and ruler become the primary materials for the works in this Universum. Chaykin reinterprets classical subjects and genres through a mechanical optic, transforming them into geometric constructions in which every element is subordinated to the logic of motion.
