Universum "Horological Zoo"

The ‘Horological Zoo’ Universum is built on the principle of translating animal images into the language of Horological Art. In the paintings belonging to this part of the collection, Konstantin Chaykin combines an animistic motif with the details of a watch movement. Each animal becomes a Horological Archetype, where the zoomorphic form is subordinated to engineering logic. Through mechanical anatomy, Konstantin Chaykin defines the character of the future images, and, unlike the classical bestiary, where animals symbolise virtues or vices, in Chaykin's work they become allegories of the philosophy of time. Each animal obeys the single principle of mechanical anatomy.
