About the exhibit
On the blueprint, Konstantin Chaykin depicts one of the preliminary versions of the ´Joker Classic' model, which has been in production since 2024. The distinctive feature of this graphic work lies in the artist's method: he extends the principle of mechanical anatomy by rendering the character's nose as a day-of-the-week indicator. Previously, the author's method had been applied only to the eyes or the mouth of the archetypes, which were often modified when creating dials for future Wristmons. The new approach demanded a bolder inventive translation from the master.
The hatching on the blueprint is noticeably denser precisely in the area of the nose. The master works out this component with particular care, while the other features of the watch are indicated with a lighter stroke. This uneven distribution of attention on the paper indicates that the search and testing of the idea were the most important aspects of the concept behind this graphic work.
