Joker Triple Complication Watch

"In this graphic artwork, Konstantin Chaykin works out one of the possible execution variations for an ultra-complicated Wristmon with a double-sided reversible construction. The model continues the line begun with the ‘Stargazer’ watch. The classic Wristmon dial, reserved for the anthropomorphic image and the Horological Archetype, is not shown on this sheet. Here Chaykin turns instead to the watch's reverse side, the part of the movement that usually stays hidden behind its face.

The reverse-side dial carries three additional major complications: a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar, and a world-time indicator. Each of these alone would already be the pride of any manufacture, and here all three come together in a single composition, following the logic of the watch movement. In this way, the graphic artwork reveals a side of the Chaykin Method that usually stays hidden behind the anthropomorphic image: the precise engineering calculation that distributes the most complex functions across the dial so that every component finds its place. The graphics and clarity of its circles and axes solves a constructive problem on the graphic artwork, proving that hidden geometry is equally at the heart of both the anthropomorphic images of the master and his most complex technical solutions."
