What happens when a wheel is unbalanced? The movement fails, and the watch begins to run inaccurately. In Haute Horlogerie, there is a strict rule: all rotating parts must be perfectly balanced. "Mechanics dislikes unbalanced components," says Konstantin Chaykin. Starting from this engineering task, the master offers an ironic solution: a wheel balanced not by calculation, but by a smile. In the artwork ‘Happy Wheel,’ Konstantin Chaykin turns a technical necessity into a character, continuing the system of Horological Archetypes, where a serious engineering challenge takes on a playful character.
