Center stage in the exposition is given to the painting "Dancing Dormouse," inspired by Lewis Carroll's iconic character, alongside the canvas "Time-Obsessed 2." For the first time, the public will be introduced to the limited-edition, 12-color silkscreen "Wolf"—a collectible graphic art piece inspired by the eponymous watch model. Konstantin Chaykin personally developed its layout and layered composition, actively participating in every stage of its creation, from initial sketch to final print.
Charity Masterclass for HEAD Students
In a first-of-its-kind event, Chaykin will host a charity masterclass for students of HEAD, Switzerland’s premier university of art and design. Under the artist's guidance, 15 students will create their own animal-themed Horological Archetypes, drawing inspiration from the "Wolf" graphic artwork. This experience will provide them with a unique opportunity to experience Konstantin Chaykin's method firsthand, witnessing how strict engineering discipline transforms into a fluid artistic language.During the masterclass, Chaykin will sketch a new timepiece, turning the creative process into a live, interactive performance. This original drawing will be included in a special charity lot to be auctioned at the fourth Geneva Watch Days Charity Auction, hosted by Phillips. All proceeds will be directed toward supporting educational and social initiatives.
The "Horological Archetypes" Catalog
Coinciding with the exhibition is the release of the catalog Konstantin Chaykin: Horological Archetypes—a highly limited edition of just 50 copies dedicated to the artist's pictorial, graphic, and mechanical works spanning from 2010 to 2026.Exhibition Details:
