Journey Beyond the Horological Universe
Konstantin Chaykin's exhibition in Geneva has come to a close. From the 1st to the 6th of September, guests at the historic Pont de la Machine building could observe the ‘Journey Beyond the Horological Universe’ exhibition as part of Geneva Watch Days.
How was the exhibition
It unfolded a universe of Horological Art inhabited by Horological Archetypes, where the artist moved beyond Haute Horlogerie to explore the connection between watch movements, space, and fine art.
Geneva Watch Days also featured a Phillips charity auction, where ‘Wolf,’ a graphic work Chaykin created during a masterclass for HEAD students, became the most expensive lot, selling for 24,000 Swiss francs. In total, 16 lots were presented at the auction, with all proceeds going to support educational and social initiatives.
A limited-edition 12-colour silkscreen ‘Wolf’ was released to mark the exhibition. This artwork is based on the blueprint Chaykin created during the masterclass and is dedicated to a watch model from the Orient Collection. Exclusive early access to the piece of art was available only to visitors of the exhibition in Geneva and at Cosmoscow.
