Dormouse is an original interpretation of a character from Alice in Wonderland. Within Konstantin Chaykin’s artistic universe, the literary image transforms into an independent horological archetype. Dormouse appears as a metaphor for the human soul, embodying the driving force of the artist’s imaginative world. Her figure, composed of elements of a watch mechanism, reflects a precision rooted in the most complex horological inventions.

All of the master’s paintings possess a particular value. Unlike watches, where an idea undergoes engineering realization and collective work, a painting captures the artist’s immediate reflection. For this reason, Dormouse, like each of Chaykin’s archetypes, is unique and cannot be reproduced.
