How was the exhibition

From the 3rd to 6th of June, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Konstantin Chaykin presents his Horological Art for the first time. Unlike traditional exhibition spaces, here his artworks involve into a direct dialogue with a business audience for whom time is the main resource. Through his painting, Konstantin Chaykin addresses the SPIEF audience in a language that goes beyond the business context. The master reminds us that time is not merely a measurable quantity, but also a philosophical category – an archetype frozen in colours and lines. The unifying principle of the exhibition is a dialogue between the rational and the engineering. This concept is reflected both in the choice of paintings and in their arrangement on the stand. On the right are three works: ‘Sedmitsa’, ‘A Mad Horological Party’, and between them – ‘Ahasuerus’, which occupies the central and conceptual core of this part of the exposition. The image of the eternal wanderer, condemned to an infinite journey through time, best captures the main theme of the forum: time as an irreplaceable resource that cannot be stopped but can be understood through art. On the left are ‘Goddess of Tempo’, ‘Bouquet of Time’, and ‘Thinking of the Time’s Birth’. The exposition is enhanced by watches in display cases: ‘Joker Classic’, ‘Kolobok 2’, ‘Panda’, ‘Joker Iron Mask’, and ‘Joker Golden Mask’. While the paintings speak of time philosophically, these movements remind us of it literally. Thus the exposition brings together the two poles of Chaykin’s creativity – philosophical wandering and engineering precision. SPIEF is one of the key business events of the year, bringing together representatives of government, business and culture. The exhibition runs from the 3rd to 6th of June at booth 40, Pavilion G, as part of SPIEF 2026. Admission is available by forum accreditation.
