Bouquet of Time 2 is a manifesto of Horological Art, the unique artistic genre in which Konstantin Chaykin dissolves the boundary between the natural and the mechanical. In this work, watch components transform into a floral motif, reminding us that the cycle of a movement is as endless as the cycle of nature itself.
Chaykin pays particular attention to the colour palette and symbolic structure of the composition. Cool tones evoke steel, while warm tones suggest brass. The flower at the centre symbolises the sun, the primary natural guide by which humankind has measured time. The wheel on the left represents the month, while the star on the right marks the day of the week. Like annual flowers, these mechanical blossoms live through their own cycle, from flowering to fading, gently reminding us of the fleeting nature of every moment. Beneath one of the bridge-stems, the master has hidden his secret signature, visible only to the attentive eye.
