Konstantin Chaykin’s “Autumn” sketch sold for CHF 21,000 at the Phillips charity auction
On September 6, during the Geneva Watch Days, the traditional charity auction by Phillips, organized in partnership with Bacs & Russo, was held in support of the École d’Horlogerie de Genève, the oldest watchmaking school in Switzerland.

Visitors will encounter rare masterpieces of horology drawn from the collections of the State Historical Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Russian History, the Polytechnic Museum, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts and the Museum of Moscow. Exhibits include mantel and sundial clocks, marine chronometers and elusive pocket watches once owned by revolutionaries, statesmen and scientists, alongside presentation timepieces gifted to leaders of past eras.

This first large-scale retrospective
At the beginning of winter 2024, the Elokhovskiy Gallery in Moscow hosted a personal exhibition of Russian watchmaker and inventor Konstantin Chaykin. This first large-scale retrospective of the master’s work marked a new milestone in his creative journey. From now on, he is not only a watchmaker but also a recognized artist.

Charity auction in support of the Polytechnic Museum project
