The work shows that symbols out of context retain their recognizability even in a different system of coordinates. A construction of watch parts creates the image of a Christmas tree, suggesting that a holiday is not only an emotion but also a recurring structure, built by the laws of time. Here the Tree is neither a natural object nor a decorative element but an artifact assembled on the principle of a mechanism – bringing mechanics and holidays closer together.
